Western Sydney Business Chamber is pleased to invite you to discuss advanced manufacturing over luncheon with panellists:

  • Professor Hugh Durrant-Whyte, Special Adviser, The University of Sydney

  • Professor Stefan Williams, Head of School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, The University of Sydney

  • Rebecca Hanley, Group Strategy & Transformation Director, Laing O’Rourke

  • Mark Goodsell, NSW Head - Ai Group | Executive Director - AAMC

Technology is changing the face of manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing is about to change the face of Western Sydney. As production activities are gradually being outsourced to developing countries offering cheap labour, more Australian manufacturers are recognising the need to compete on value rather than cost.

Western Sydney is primed to be at the centre of this new economy, with the NSW Government having already announced agreements with partners in defence, aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Our speakers will explore the impact automation and digitisation will have on industry, the advanced knowledge and R&D that’s necessary to drive value creation and how universities are best positioned to enable and support these industries.

The Chamber would like to thank its supporting sponsor in this event, The University of Sydney.

This event is open exclusively to Western Sydney First, Sydney First and Corporate Connections members, by invitation only.
