The ABA works with government, regulators and other stakeholders to improve public awareness and understanding of the industry’s contribution to the economy and to ensure Australia’s banking customers continue to benefit from a stable, competitive and accessible banking industry.

Anna has had a long and distinguished career in politics, and was the Premier of Queensland for almost five years until March 2012. She was also Deputy Premier and Treasurer of Queensland and held ministerial responsibilities in Education, Social Welfare, Arts, Economic and State Development and Infrastructure.

Anna will be discussing the current business environment for banks, the latest trends in lending, the new Banking Code of Practice and its protections for business and customers and the new supports and tools available to help businesses make financial decisions to suit their circumstances.

Following this, attendees are invited to participate in an open and interactive Q&A with Anna, who will be joined on stage by Arab Bank Australia Limited CEO Joseph Rizk and PwC Chief Economist Jeremy Thorpe to discuss all things banking and the economic impact less red tape will deliver for business.

The Chamber would like to thank its supporting sponsor in this event, Arab Bank Australia Limited.

This event is open exclusively to Western Sydney First, Sydney First, Corporate Connections members, by invitation only.
