Western Sydney Business Chamber invites you to join us for the launch of our new report supporting more live performance venues in NSW with a focus on Western Sydney.

The Show Must Go On; Supporting the growth of live performance infrastructure in NSW examines, amongst others, why we have such a large problem with growing live performance in NSW, why a lack of venues and performing arts infrastructure is the main contributor to this, and how other Australian States and overseas are backing live performance and its positive impact to their visitor economies. The report also provides recommendations to government to help support the industry and grow live performance venues.

The event will be emceed by Australian comedian, TV personality, writer and activist, Nazeem Hussain with the officially launching the paper followed by two panel discussions with representatives from industry and local government on what can be done to expand live performance venues in NSW.

Our speakers and panelists for the launch include:

  • Roger Field, CEO, Live Nation

  • Craig McMaster, Executive Director, Sydney Coliseum

  • Greg Khoury, Executive Director, Century Group
