Speaker Bio's:

Jo Masters

Jo is a Senior Economist in ANZ Research’s Australian Economics Team. Providing thematic research, analysis and forecasts on the Australian economy, her particular interests are retail, inflation and housing. She brings more than 15 years of investment banking research to her publications and presentations for stakeholders and clients. Her opinions are regularly sought in the media. Prior to ANZ, Jo was at Macquarie Bank as a Senior Economist and a Currency Strategist.

Keenan Jackson

Keenan joined .id in 2016 and is an economic development specialist with extensive experience in the public sector analysing and developing economic programs, strategies and policies. While in State Government, he worked for Regional Development Victoria providing program and policy advice on regional city competitiveness, structural adjustment and innovation.

Now at .id he provides economic advice to local councils and industry groups on a range of projects including economic development strategies, urban growth plans, and industry and demographic profiles.

Gary Murphy

Gary lives and approaches his work by the three Rs – Respect, Relationships and Responsibility. He believes in directly involving the community in decision-making and fostering community partnerships to achieve better outcomes for all. Born in South Africa, Gary is a civil engineer who was Chief Executive of Buller District Council in New Zealand for seven years before moving to the North Coast of NSW to take up an appointment as General Manager Lismore City Council in 2011.

During his tenure at Lismore City Council, Gary facilitated major change for the organisation. This included national recognition for the Council as a leader in waste management and recycling; implementation of an innovative floating solar farm; setting bold goals around self-generating 100% of electricity from renewable sources by 2023; and delivery of some major infrastructure projects.
