“Coordinating Transport Planning for a Liveable Sydney”

The NSW Government has recently announced the development of a Transport Master Plan to address key transport challenges facing NSW over the next 20 years.  The Commonwealth Government is currently undertaking a feasibility study into high speed rail along the east coast.  Both plans will have significant impacts on Sydney’s rail and other transport systems, however they are both being undertaken in isolation of each other and risk closing off options for future growth of the system and a better transport service.

Sydney Business Chamber is considering the merit of commissioning a report highlighting to both governments the potential role high speed rail could play in helping to address some of Sydney’s transport challenges. 

Sydney Business Chamber would like to invite key opinion makers to a round-table discussion to learn more about this proposal and provide input to its development.  The discussion will feature a presentation from Kym Lennox from the Tipping Point Institute, a leading strategic policy advisor in infrastructure, procurement, project development and transport operations.
